Vienna
Welcome to Vienna
I’m dividing the Visit into Architecture, History and Cuisine.
I’ve travelled to Vienna the Capital of Austria in Europe in May 2026.
The Weather was perfect with almost 30 Degrees Celsius and a blue sky for the entire visit.
The reason for visiting Austria was for mainly the Land of the Classical Genius Composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Classical Genius Jewish Composer Johann Strauss and the Father of Psychoanalysis the Genius Jewish Professor Sigmund Freud, the Mother of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS the Jewish Actress/Scientist Hedy Lamarr and the Croissant.
Plus the extras like it’s the Land of the Energy Drink Red Bull, the Weapon Manufacturer Glock and the Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Shortly after being there I’ve noticed that Austrians live really well, Austria has the 13th GDP per Capita in the World.
Also I didn’t see even one Austrian walking on a Crosswalk with the Red Light so me being a Londoner did it and they looked at me with disapproval so I learned the lesson right there whilst in Austria be an Austrian.
I’ve stayed in an important Transportation Hub in Vienna called Praterstern named in the 19th Century AC where I had the Metro’s U1 and U2 Lines and the Train Station that served the Vienna international Airport.
Because 7 Streets converge into Praterstern there were a lot of Pedestrians, Cyclists and Vehicles at anytime during the day and part of the night.
Architecture
The Main Entrance of St. Stephens Cathedral
The Gothic St. Stephens Cathedral or Stephan + Dom meaning the Cathedral of St Stephen in German was built in the 14th Century AC and is the Landmark view of Vienna in Austria located at the Centre of the Town in the Stephansplatz in the 1st District.
It’s the tallest Church in Austria with 136 Meters with a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic Architecture, the interior has several Altars and the Tomb of Emperor Frederick III and the Catacombs with Burial Chambers.
