The Acronym DM stands for Document Management it’s the Application used by Companies to Manage the Documents related to the Customers like Invoices, Letters, Faxes and E-Mails.
I’ve worked with a DM called FileNet in 2 major Telecom Companies in Lisbon, Portugal for 7 Years from 2001 to 2007.
My Role was being one of the Administrators of the Document Management System and after being the only Administrator.
My Daily Tasks were creating Users/Passwords for the Advisors in the Call Centre and for the Company Employees and troubleshooting issues related to Documents like Invoices in the PDF Format not being uploaded to the DM and manually Upload them or a PDF being corrupted and had to replace it.
The Hardware/Software that I’ve used for my Role and Daily Tasks was was Hewlett Packard Workstation with Microsoft Windows 2000 Client and the DM FileNet Client and the Server was a Sun Microsystems Enterprise Server with the Unix Operating System Solaris 8 and the Database Oracle 8.
