ATM

Welcome to ATM

The Acronym ATM stands for Automatic Teller Machine they’re the Automatic Machines used by Banks to allow the Customers to make Bank Transactions that are everywhere mainly in Cities.

I’ve worked with ATM’s in a major Bank in Portugal for 4 Years from 2009 to 2013.

My Role was to Monitor these ATM’s built by either Siemens-Nixdorf or Diebold across the entire Country of Portugal by using the Sensors installed inside every ATM that detected issues.

The most common issues were related to the Hardware like Euro Bills jammed inside the ATM, the ATM itself was forced with Malicious Intent or related to Software like several types of Software Errors and also Fake Bills that were deposited inside the ATM.

All this information that was captured by the Sensors was shown on HP (Hewlett Packard) OpenView the Client Software for Monitoring Systems.

My Daily Tasks were to check HP OpenView and take action on some issues by using a Software that did a Restart on a Sensor just in case there was a False Alert and when the issue couldn’t be resolved I had to contact the Developer Team so they could have a detailed look.

The Software that I used for my Role and Daily Tasks was Microsoft Windows 7 Client with the HP OpenView 9 Client and the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 plus the Support Software developed by the Development Team.
