1970s
1972
I was born during the Generation X of 1965 - 1979.
I don’t have any memories from the life in Luanda, Angola in Africa because I left when I was 3 Years Old and consciously the Episodic Memories are only formed at around 03 - 04 Years Old.
During my early days at School I showed signs of PTSD by drawing Bombs, Rifles and Blood in all the drawings.
My Parents were even called to the School to explain my childhood.
The Memories of the events in Angola passed away with time.
1980s
I lived a normal life from Home to School and School to Home.
Life was simpler back then in the 1980’s and with more meaning in everything no Internet, Smartphones or Social Networks and safer so much safer.
I got the keys of my House when I was 12 Years Old and I knew other Boys and even Girls back then in the same circumstances.
We were alone and in charge of ourselves and nothing bad happened.
1982
A special moment happened as a Child when I received the Personal Computer Sinclair ZX Spectrum and started to play Games.
It had to be from England.
1987
I’ve started to regularly listen to Dire Straits and Eric Clapton.
My FC Porto won the UEFA European Winners Cup against FC Bayern Munich.

1990s
1990
I’ve received the Personal Computer ICL with MS-DOS 5 and Microsoft Windows 2.0.
1992
I’ve started to listen to Guns and Roses and Grunge Rock.
1993
I was drafted for the Mandatory Military Service in the Army.
It was scheduled to be 1 Year but was later reduced to 4 Months because I was an only Child.
But those 4 Months were really intense.
3 Months of Boot Camp and 1 Month of Military Service inside a Military Prison as a Military Guard.
In the Infantry Regiment I met 2 German Guys the Heckler & Koch.
Didn’t appreciate the Army Experience much except when the subject were Weapons and Military Tactics.
Inside the Military Prison I felt the Prisoners life of being restricted to their Cells and Blocks.
And the surreal experience for someone with 21 Years Old of having an Assault Rifle in my hands the German HK G3 loaded with 20 rounds of 7.62mm x 51mm NATO Calibre plus an extra magazine with 20 rounds.
The reason for being armed was to patrol the External Perimeter of the Prison in case a Prisoner tried to escape.
Later in life I realised that the Military Service is designed to overcome daily adversities with success and to built core values that will remain with who served in the Military for life like for example Discipline when 1 messes up the entire Company of 125-150 messes up and Team Work/Leadership the best School nothing gets remotely close to it in Civilian life.
1994
I was discharged from the Military Service and saw for the first time the Restaurant McDonald’s in Portugal.
Shortly after I I saw my First Live Concert an unknown American Grunge Band from Aberdeen, Washington, US not at all famous then called Nirvana that became the image Band of the Generation X.
I received my Driver’s License.
2000s
2000
My favourite Blues/Rock Guitarist Eric Clapton from Surrey, England gave a Concert in Lisbon, Portugal.
I was so close to the Stage that I could see his Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster Signature Edition Guitar.
2003
My FC Porto won the UEFA Cup against Celtic FC under the legendary José Mourinho.
My Cristiano Ronaldo arrives in Manchester, England to play for Manchester United FC at the age of 18 from Sporting Lisbon CP.
2004
My FC Porto won the UEFA Champions League against AS Monaco FC under the legendary José Mourinho.
2010s
2014
I sold what I had in Lisbon, Portugal and moved to London, England without a Home and a Job just the Unemployment Benefit from Portugal and some Savings in the Bank.
I found a Home 1 Week after arriving and a Job in 2 Weeks.
2016
My Portugal won the UEFA Euro against France.
2018
My Portugal won the UEFA Nations League against the Netherlands.
