The Acronym POS stands for Point of Sale on Till Machines they’re the Machines used to make Simple Card, Cash or Voucher Transactions used in Restaurants, Supermarkets or other Shops.
I’ve worked with POS for two major Businesses one in England part of the United Kingdom and the other in England part of the United Kingdom and also in Portugal for 3 Months from 2015 to 2015.
My Role was to Support the POS across the United Kingdom and Portugal over the Phone by remotely connecting to the POS for Troubleshooting.
The most common issues were related to the Software and were resolved by Restarting the Microsoft Windows Services on the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional other Software/Hardware issues were resolved by requesting an Engineer to go to the Properties.
My Daily Tasks were to answer the Support Line on the Phone then Troubleshoot and resolve or escalate the requests.
The Software that I used for my Role and Daily Tasks was Microsoft Windows 7 Client and used the Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect to all the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional’s at the Properties.
